Cambridge IGCSE and performance tables – a subject-by-subject summary

Cambridge IGCSE English Literature (0486) and Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics (0580) will still be available for examination in 2017 and beyond but after 2016, they will no longer be accredited by Ofqual or funded and will not count towards performance tables.  However, universities around the world will continue to recognise these qualifications.  Both syllabuses will continue to be graded A*-G. 

After 2016, Cambridge IGCSE - First Language (0522) will no longer exist.  It will be replaced by Cambridge IGCSE (9-1) First Language English (0627).
 
Cambridge IGCSE First Language English (0500) will continue to be available for examination in 2017 and beyond.  It will continue to be graded A*-G.  Please note that this syllabus has never been accredited, funded or included in performance tables and there are no plans for this to change.  However, universities around the world will continue to recognise this qualification.

For first teaching from September 2015, we will have Cambridge IGCSE (9-1) English Literature (0477), Cambridge IGCSE (9-1) First Language English (0627) and Cambridge IGCSE (9-1) Mathematics (0626).  These syllabuses will be graded 9-1.  They will be regulated by Ofqual and funded but will not count towards performance tables.
